Abstract

The increase in global temperature and environmental degradation has brought to the attention of stakeholders the importance of conservation and preservation of sustainable ecosystems. However, such initiatives need to be implemented in an integrated manner by involving local communities. This paper discusses community empowerment efforts by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga IT Pangkal Balam in implementing CSR programs for ecosystem conservation in Tuatunu. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, by revealing the implementation of CSR carried out by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga IT Pangkal Balam to local communities, strategies and impacts obtained. The results in this study reveal that PT Pertamina Patra Niaga IT Pangkal Balam in collaboration with DLH Pangkalpinang City empowers local communities in efforts to conserve and preserve ecosystems in Tuatunu. The effort also involves other stakeholders in the implementation of the program, thus providing a sustainable impact. With this program, environmental conservation efforts can be said to be in line with increasing the capacity and welfare of local communities, creating sustainable shared value, and demonstrating that human interests can be harmonious with environmental conservation efforts. The Kelekak program shows how companies can play an important role in supporting community welfare and ecosystem preservation.
